Coding Games

Grades 3 - 8

In Coding Games Workshop, students will get to experience what it is like to design an original video game, including the storyline, artwork, and gameplay mechanics. Students learn to code through a simple drag-and-drop visual interface, lowering the barriers to learning for those who are not yet proficient with using a keyboard and allowing the more experienced programmer to advance quickly.

Python with Animation

Grade 4 - 10

Our new Python Workshop is great for teaching coding fundamentals through a real-world programming language. We will use Python (a programming language used by companies such as Google and NASA) to teach coding basics! During the workshop, we will learn how to use Python’s loops, conditional programming, and more, to build some really cool projects including interactive quizzes, a two-player game, and Python-based micro:bit apps and more!

Introduction to Coding

Grades 1 - 3

Our new Introduction to Coding workshop is a great way to get young students started with code. Using visual programming tools such as Scratch, Kodu, and Minecraft , we'll teach the fundamentals behind coding. These easy to understand platforms allow the students to write their own apps and games.

Mixed Reality Worlds

Grades 2 - 8

In these workshops, students will use web-based platform to build their own 3D creations, animate them with code (using block-based coding), and explore them in Virtual or Augmented Reality. Learners will practice testing and debugging and create a virtual space that they can share with family and friends! Projects will also be learner-driven, giving learners the space to leverage VR as a tool for positive change, to tackle an issue that is important to them.

Mobile Applications

Grades 4-8

TikTok, Zoom, WhatsApp have become our everyday apps, and your child may be the creator of the next most popular App that we would use in our life. We nurture future leaders in technology by allowing students to explore the path of mobile app development.

Thunkable a web-based platform that enables students to create fully functional mobile apps. Compatible with both Android and iOS systems.

With intuitive, visual drag-and-drop programming, our mobile applications curriculum guides students to apply computational thinking and creativity to design their apps and put them to test immediately on their phones. They can build simple, functional apps to use in their study of different subjects and more!

Websites Design & Development

Grades 6+

Our new Getting Started with Website Design and Development Workshop is a great way to introduce your students to coding. We’ll teach coding with HTML, CSS and JavaScript. At the end of the workshop, students will have a working website, along with notes and support so they are equipped to design an online portfolio for their school work, or projects.

STEM INVENTORS

Grades 1-8

Our classes are hands-on "build it and create it" sessions using the pocket-sized microcontroller. It is simple to get started with, incredibly versatile, and awesomely powerful - perfect for physical computing activities for young people from the age of 8 & up.

STEM inventor level 1 Grade 1-3

In our exciting and fun classes, students will combine their creative and technical skills as they create emoticon displays, expand their knowledge to make games, send coded messages, and communicate with light and music.

STEM inventor level 2 Grade 4-6

•Using a range of physical computing elements, different inputs, LED output, and an accelerometer. Our students can create wearable technology to create a game and a quiz, manipulate lights, send coded messages using radio packets and Morse Code. In our fun and educationally engaging classes, students develop their creativity, engineering, and computing skills to become the creators of technology.

STEM inventor level 3 Grade 7-8

Combining their new skills with digital creativity to invent solutions to real-world problems. Collaboration, team-work, and problem-solving are brought to the fore to meet the fun invention challenges. With an animated pattern or fun scrolling message, it could be wearable technology one minute, or a data logging device for a field trip the next, or a digital pet you create yourself! It's time to become part of the maker movement!

Design for Change & STEM workshops Grades 1-12

Design for change is an incredible framework for building project-based and inquiry learning in the classroom. The DFC 4 steps: FEEL, IMAGINE, DO and SHARE, inspire students to identify real-world problems and use DFC design thinking to develop innovative solutions to those problems.

This program will nurture students’ curiosity and provide them with the technology tools and resources to inquire, understand, engage, and communicate the importance of sustainability. This understanding will take the students on an entrepreneurial journey to find smart solutions for the UN sustainable development goals.
